I feel much better now.
I got to wear short shorts, River got to run around nakie and Blake got 3 whole days off.
it was very much needed.

his smile.

pretty much means everything to me.

whats in your bag?

i got the inspiration for this blog from a fellow blogger,
i thought it was a cute idea, because whats in your bag is a reflection of who you are.
Photobucket
me,
Photobucket
my bag,
Photobucket
my 30gb and 80gb ipod's
my keys
my wallet
and my phone
Photobucket
my DSi and game, with my pikachu stylus
Photobucket
and a notebook depending on which bag i'm using.
Photobucket
(my other bag, the glorious mary poppins bag)

don't you wish your shoes housed chipmunks?

March 9, 2011

me and my daughter...

just spent an hour painting our faces with mud in my parents garden.
pretending we were indians, but i guess i ended up looking like a cat....
i've never enjoyed myself more.
so i just finished the next two books on my list.
Photobucket
Photobucket
a kiss in time was very light hearted and great for fans of teeny popper books.
it was hard for me to get into but it was pretty good in the end.
and choose to be happy was my first attempt at reading a self help book on my own....
and i must admit i got ALOT out of it. and i highly suggest it to everyone.
i learned how i need to rid my life of toxic people.
(who just bring you down with there unhappiness)
create balance in every aspect of your life.
find humor in every situation and defy your negative mindset 100%
that happiness is not a trophy, it is the journey, and state of being.
i thoroughly loved this book, and how it made me feel.

the next book on my list: True Grit.
 i'm pretty excited about it.

(I'm warning you now, everything in this post is off topic from one another...and is why it remains title-less)

Photobucket
if you haven't seen megamind. you should.
its me AND rivers current favorite, we watch it every day :)

also, i've fallen in love with a new band mumford and sons.
i loooove looove it.
its inspiring.
"But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth
Which will refresh my broken mind"
this song brings me endless joy. it will probably become my next bloggy song....

and last but not least. we leave for St. George tomorrow :)
we are going to go with my whole family.
Blake, River and I are staying in our first hotel as a family and we even got a deluxe king room! woo! we are very very excited indeed. we will be celebrating our anniversary down there and hopefully be getting lots of son yay for the weekend!
(pictures to come :D)

March 8, 2011

a rant of very unimportant issues.

is it just me, or are main stream songs getting more and more ridiculous?
(i confess i'm a sucker for cleverly written lyrics)
but seriously...who writes this poop?:

"Who cares if you disagree? You are not me
Who made you king of anything?
So you dare tell me who to be?
Who died and made you king of anything?"
-Sara Bareilles
(who died and made you king of anything? thats kinda immature/childish and sounds pretty unitelligent sara)

"Should'a knownYou was trouble
From the first kiss
Had your eyes wide open,
Why were they open?"
-Bruno Mars
(must we repeat that her eyes are open? and say it completely different from the rest of the song? first off Bruno its just weird and second. don't ask us?! we don't know why her eyes were open?!)

"Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than f***in' perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You're f***in' perfect to me!"
-Pink
(besides the uneeded F word, must you keep saying pretty pretty please? WHY?! we got it the first time and you didn't even have to say pretty pretty please in the first place...you just sound like a dirty mouthed 5 year old)

glad to get that off my chest...
and i hate to be a negative person, i know its a drag to read other peoples negative thoughts.
but these all came on this morning while i was chasing my child around old navy.
it just made me a little worried about our society lol
if you've ever seen Idiocracy you understand where i'm coming from hahaha....

March 6, 2011

a boring sunday...

and what do we do?! take pictures!
(photo filter experimenting is sorta my recent obsession)

heidi's give away....

I've never blogged about a give away before, so I'm just going to wing it!

so there is this girl, her name is Heidi.
i just started following her blog recently and she has inspired me in the ways of blog.
she does a lot of crafts and has the amazing sense of style.
i think everyone should check my new friend out :)

i never really thought about a doing a give away before but its an awesome incentive for your loyal followers and supporters. i love the idea and i looooove what she is giving away!!
mmmmm, who couldn't like these??

quote of the day....

i got my old ipod fixed.
i was listening to one of favorite bands....

"you're wearing your skin like its too tight"
it just reminded me of certain places, certain people and certain things in life recently, thought i'd share.

unprivate...

it was kinda complicated to go private....
my immediate family couldn't even look at it after i sent them the invitations..
hahaha

March 4, 2011

mmm....

my daughter is the heart of our little family.
both me and her father love her with all our hearts.
Photobucket
Photobucket
but Blake and I have decided making Baby S. Fruits
is officially on the table.
we may or may not be very serious about it....
we are keeping that a secret at least :)

we also will be going on a little vacation to southern Utah next weekend, we are all very excited its our second little trip of the year.
while we are down there Blake and i will be celebrating our anniversary.
here we come year 4! we are going strong!

photo bucket is kind of...

being a pain today. so i can't get pictures of the books I've read so i can continue to keep track.
but since my last book entry i've read.

Deltora Quest :
Dread Mountain.
Maze of the Beast.
Valley of the Lost.
Return to Del

(then the second Deltora series)
Deltora Shadowlands:
Cavern of Fear.
The Isle of Illusion.
The Shadowlands.

(then finally the third Deltora series)
Dragons of Deltora:
Dragon's Nest.
Shadowgate.
Isle of the Dead.
The Sister of the South.

okay, i know me keeping track of the books i read on here are not very interesting lol.
but i always loose my paper list.

and tonight when i have more time I'll actually write something semi-interesting :)

well, i went private....

and with going private you can't see updates on the new posts
so i got the smart idea from a girl named Heidi A. G. to have a separate blog for people too follow so you can see when i put up new stuff.
here is the update blog if you would like to follow it -

February 28, 2011

today was a day that tested my patience....
i talked to a lady at my school about switching to days because i just need to get school done.
so  I'll be switching march 15th.
then a very nice boy came in today and he didn't speak much English, so i trimmed his hair from what i thought he had explained....and then even before i finished they gave me my next client....a very very very very very picky little woman, who was very intimating and intimidation pretty much melts my brain...like the sun melts butter....
everyone was in a hurry to get home and i was the last one left trying to hurry because i was being rushed... so i messed up on a few things...very obvious things i should have remembered.
i could tell the lady was tolerating my absent mindedness but i felt bad.
so i gave her 5 dollar tip back before she left, because i couldn't have that on my conscience.
i dropped everything you could think of.
i hit into everything i walked by.
hahaha it was definitely a day for the books....

but that's when you remember tomorrow is a new day.
the people at school won't be there forever.
your life is always changing and you just gotta keep on keeping on :)
just flow with the motions, because life is as simple as we make it.

motherhood.

a chipmunk has found a home in each pair of my boots.
this morning i found a already sucked on sucker stuck inside my gladiator sandals.
yesterday i found a chewed up alvin fruit snack in my sheets and littlest pet shop animals under my pillow.
AND just now i found a unmistakable Cheeto covered River booger in my hair....

its good to be a mom. hahaha.

February 27, 2011

i found this...

Photobucket
on a website i always visit....

so i did it, and this is the sentence thats supposed to define my life?

"they had many friends, and for a month they carried Gerald from home to home, to suppers, dances and picnics." - Gone with the Wind, Margret Mitchell

hmmm well then... hahaha. i thought it was funny....

February 25, 2011

Beacon and other stuff....

for those of you who don't know (because i sure didn't before hair school)
beacon is an awesome opportunity for hair students all over the country.
being chosen gets you a place in the North American Hair Awards (as an usher type of dealy)
but you also get to network with all the big names, and attend many events of the PBA beauty week in Las Vegas.
i was going to enter it this year, but i don't feel like i have enough on my resume yet to be a memorable candidate. (only 100 students get picked) but we still have to do the beacon requirements as a school assignment.....
this year i'm just throwing things together last minute.
so next year i can whip out the big guns with a better chance of being impressive lol

apart of the portfolio you put together you need 3 sets of before/after make overs you have done to show your work. i just grabbed my little sisters today and whipped something up
(my little sisters will not let me put up the before pictures) :(
its okay though because i made them look terrible hahahahahahaaa.
but here are the afters that I've picked.

Photobucket
this is jessie's after, the cut and color is what i'm trying to show.

Photobucket
this is meag's, hers is styling and make up.
this is the other i may pick...i'm not sure yet i like them both
Photobucket

today when i was sitting with river and watching megamind.
she picked up my phone and said
"ello? new uuu love ne? ninion? num num num num? oka oka *a spitty raspberry*"

which roughly translates too:
"Hello? do you love me? minion? yum yum yum yum? Ok? Ok? *a spitty raspberry*"
looks like my bee bee will be a talking soon!

Photobucket

after a long debate...

i've decided i will be going private in one week. :)
so everyone leave me your emails so i can invite you!

i got a little creeped out when i saw all these different people from other country's were looking at my blog.... and i'm a little over protective with some of my photos.
going private will just make me feel better that its still my personal little place haha :)

COMING SOON! (like later tonight)
two of my before and after pictures for my beacon entry :)
stay tuneeeddd....

February 24, 2011

long winded....

do you ever have those days where you just realize how grateful you are for everything?
how much everybody contributes to your life one way or another?
strangers, celebritys, heroes, your family and friends.
they are like the one of a kind mold to our individual personalities.
my fellow baby mama friends:
you keep me strong, we are all in this together! being a young mom is life changing but its nice that we all have each others stories and support to keep us going through the tough times!
the random friends i have met along the way :
you keep me young! and in tune with the world around me!

my cousin Anthony contributed to my interests:
Zelda, Skateboarding, Blink 182 and being apart of the alternative cliches.....

my sister Meagan made me :
realize i needed to change my ways, because i have little siblings looking up to me as there example.
she helped change my life, i see now how important it is to be the older sister they can come too.

my sister Jessie shows me :
inspiration every day, she is always full of imaginative/ creative ideas.
she is always brings the artistic side out in me.

my mom gave me :
the tools of logic and responsibility.
priority's come first, bills get paid before you buy things for pleasure.
i may have a bad spending habit, but my mom has made me smart about my money.
i am happily in no debt, and all my bills get paid in advance.
all my chores get done before i enjoy myself.
i have a clean organized house, i take care of my yard.
she also has taught me endurance, and to stay on top of things.
she has taught me more then anyone,  she is the smartest little lady i know.

my dad has always been :
the person i got along with the least....
and that is because we are so much alike.
he has always had  a carefree side.
a stand up for yourself when you need too side.
and a charitable, selfless side.
he has taught me that money has no real value, not the type of value that matters.
that is why i am happy to help out a family member, why i'd rather spend my money on another then on myself. why i try to always give a little, because there are people who need it more then me.
but he has also taught me, too keep an open mind.
think deeper and be more spiritual.

my grandma glenna has taught me :
to be free!
not to care what others think. not to get grossed out
by anything that is only human.
we all do them and we all have them.

my grandpa Gerald kept my :
hands and minds exploring.
showing me how things work, how to build things.
my oldest fondest memory's with my grandpa have me under the hood of a car.
he also taught me how to enjoy a good old western :)
my Palmer family :
have taught me the value of family.
your family is your family.
no matter the differences you love each and every one and appreciate them for who they are.
life is to short to let the little things get in the way of love for your family.
my long friend tiffany never lets me forget :
every thing around us and everything we are is a form of art.
so make sure to create everything with as much beauty and originality as possible.

my blakee :
he is the anchor to my wings.
and the sanity to my out of mind moments.
where i am energetic and out spoken, he is calm and reserved.
he is the ying to my yang and the balance I've always needed.
our child has a good chance to be normal with the two of us :)
i appreciate him for what we have created and all the support he has for me.

my little itty bitty baby tuna :
she is my life. she has showed me true happiness. true love and selflessness.
she is and will forever be apart of me.
my dear friend elisha trask :
you are who i look up too.
you are sort of a hero too me.
you have been since the day i met you, and always will be.
you are a special kindred spirit i hope never lose.

and mama sue shepherd :
is an inspiration to all.
when life gets tough, you keep your head up, and always ALWAYS have a good sense of humor.
even if it seems like the crumbiest thing life could have thrown at you, you find a silver lining to keep you going. she has taught me more lessons then she will ever know. but i am grateful for every one.

this may seem like a pointless post to everyone.
but this is for my own sake and for those i love.
to show all the gratitude i have.

Unicorns i love them
Unicorns i love them
Uni uni unicorns i loove them

Uni unicorns i could pet one
If they were really real..and they are!
So i bought one so i could pet it
Now it loves me, now I love it
La la la la la

a little despicable me in the morning does everyone some good :)
happy happy sumo day!
yes i'm very excited for i have waited ages for this day....

February 23, 2011

a little burnt out....

i've only been in school since sept. and i'm a little burnt out lol
just the same thing every day.....
but before my burnt out-ness gets too out of control
i think I'll take a positive mental health day.
when i proposed this idea to blake i asked him if i could have fifty dollars
(got to satisfy the spending habit before no-money-march of course)
when he asked what i wanted it for i told him "to reinvent myself"
he didn't buy it.
he just laughed at me, and asked "are you sure you just don't want new clothes?"
.......
that boy knows me tooooo well.....
Photobucket
but thats why i love him. he knows me better then i do....

any who, i'm still taking that mental health day. even if i have to window shop hahaha.

heidinspired

its early....like way early....
too early to work out, but too late to do anything really.
this is a every day thing for me since little kid-dom, waking up at two and staying up ALLL morning while watching sesame street.
but we don't have TV
(we have TV's,  just not channels to watch... I'm not a fan of the media)
so i settled on watching Digimon, season 1 in which i love vair vair vair muchoooo.

anyways, i promise I'm getting some where with this.
I'm just a little dazed? i don't know if that's the word?
but this is my inner voice doing all the talking...
welcome to my head.
haha....

oh and here is the point. finally.
a very inspirational blogger i follow
named Heidi
did a want/love list.
so I've been putting together my own.......lets face it, there is not a lot for me to do right now and I'm out of ideas....

my looooves :

Photobucket
Photobucket
clinique skin care, redness solution.
i've got me some rosey rosey cheeks, and i very much dislike it.
clinique is my make up essential.

Photobucket
my favorite scent, hands down.
i must always have a bottle, its like happy i can spray on! yay!
Blake is also a fan, so he is supportive of supplying me my happy perfume....

my wantsssss :

Photobucket
i've ALWAYS wanted buddha gauges.
its why i stretched my ears in the first place.
oooooooh, lets just say they are me in a nutshell.

Photobucket
FRINGE!
FRINGE BAG!
mmm, this is the prettiest, most amazing bag i've ever seen.
it almost satisfies my want to be Jim Morrison just by looking at it.

i've got a boot fetish....
Photobucket
Photobucket
and these are the ones i always drool over....
i like buckles!

and if i ever got enough courage to wear high heels....
these are the ones i'd buy....
Photobucket
prettty beautifullll. :)

okay mine is not so exciting....
but i needed something post :)

February 21, 2011

march is coming....

i'm going to try and go the whole month without buying anything that is unnecessary.
i am allowed to buy necessary grocery's, gas and pay the bills.
no clothes, no soda, no movies, no out to eat food and no toys for river because she has quite enough.

i got one bad habit down this month (facebook)
here is my next to go :)
