my beautiful little daughter river.

Photobucket
is not that little any more!!
in two months she'll be two.
this is like a land mark birthday for me because its her officially losing the baby title and stepping into toddler-hood
I've been lacking on the how big river is getting blogs so here we go.
River now thinks she can put on make up, i humor her by rubbing my powder brush on her cheeks or putting eye shadow on her face like face paint (she thinks its very very pretty)
but this morning we had quite the mascara fiasco and she applied it ALL over her cheek and her hair. around the eye area so i give the girl credit she knows where it goes!
she just lacks the hand eye coordination haha...
i really wish i would have gotten a picture but my camera was dead. so i rushed her to my parents so they could all enjoy her cuteness. (at 6 in the morning :) it was worth waking them up)
but besides her love of make up, she loves dental floss sliding the floss through her lips like she is flossing her teeth.
she still doesn't like food much but CHEETOS are a different story entirely.
i wish i could say she had a favorite color and stuff like that but she doesn't pay much attention to...
...well, anything... only movies, her chipmunks and her books.
she is constantly out there some where, our little space cadet.
she is capable of talking, saying such things as "mokey hoo hoo" (monkey ooo eee) and "do you love me?"
also "minion" and "book" are near perfection (considering every small person to her is a minion now)
but frankly. she hardly ever uses words to communicate.
she just points.
points to cups for water.
points to cupboards for food.
and takes my hand to lead me where she needs me so i can "hep" her. (help)
she is still the little dancing foo' she was born to be.

i don't think i say how much i love her enough.
she is my best friend.
when i have a crappy day and my positive thinking has left me she is there to cheer me up with her hugs and kisses.
i'm so grateful to have this little girl in my life, she is a mama's girl if i ever saw one.
she hates me to be out of her sight, we are just two peas in a pod.

  1. This entry made me get teary eyed and fill the warmth and love you hold for your daughter. She's a beautiful little girl, who I am sure will turn out to be a wonderful person. She's full of personality-which will only grow as she does. She'll turn out great, with the parents she has. Keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing this!
